Experience

Co-founded the structural engineering firm Tadros Associates LLC in Omaha Nebraska in 1997 with two former students. Currently the firm has 8 structural engineers, two professional engineer affiliates, and five technicians. The firm specializes in value engineering of bridges, bridge design, product development, construction engineering, and telecommunication structures. Clients include the departments of transportation of Nebraska and Kansas, Kiewit Construction Company, LEAP Software, several other structural engineering design firms, and a number of counties. Of notable mention is the company’s expertise in the Inverted Tee bridge system for which the company is about to begin development of a set of standards for NDOR. The Omaha Public Power District Railroad Bridge 5.90, which was converted to high performance concrete box system from structural steel, and the Perry Creek drainage structure for the U.S. Army corps of Engineers which was converted from a cast in place system to a precast concrete system for Kiewit Construction Company are examples of value engineering. Technical review during the Development of ConSplice for LEAP Software, for time dependent analysis of spliced girder bridges is an example of development consulting. Currently the company is working on a five thousand feet long “skid beam” that carries an incredibly large live load of 200 kips/ft.

Prior to the formation of Tadros Associates, consulting activities included participation in design of numerous structures in the U.S., Canada and overseas.
